6 nights / 7 days · Best for: travelers who want to compare both countries, or need flexible permit dates
Two gorilla treks, two countries: Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park and Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, connected by a well-established overland border crossing. Useful for travelers who want to compare the two experiences, or whose preferred trekking dates only had permits available in one country.
This sample route can be adjusted by season, lodge preference, travel pace, budget, group size, and special interests such as birding, photography, primates, or family travel.
