Overview

What this trip covers

The South Omo Valley is home to several distinct communities, each with their own language, dress, and customs, alongside acacia woodland holding its own birdlife. This trip is built around respectful, guided visits — arranged with and led by local guides, not staged for photographs — combined with birding along the way.

This sample route can be adjusted by season, lodge preference, travel pace, budget, group size, and special interests such as birding, photography, primates, or family travel.
